My pleasure! My name is Malinda Caesar and I am 27 years old. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and I have an active 6-year-old son named Adonis.
I am one of the very few people here at KEH that is not a photographer. I have years of experience in retail and even more years of experience in the restaurant industry. Over the years of me working here at KEH, I have grown to enjoy and respect the art of photography.
I have been a KEH employee since 2014, so about 5 years. My first 3 years here at KEH, I worked in the eBay department writing listings for the camera equipment being sold. Now, I am the Front Desk Receptionist, so I do a lot of the administration work.
My role includes greeting every guest that comes into our facility, as well as answering the emails of various departments. I am also the Chat Agent on our website; so if you ever think you’re chatting with a robot, that robot is me!
My favorite thing about my job is being able to talk to all the guest that come in. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many photographers that travel here, to Atlanta, just to say they’ve been to KEH! I’m also very talkative in general, so being able to interact with the guest face-to-face is by far the best part of my job.
Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of changes in management. I’m most excited about all the new ideas our leadership team has in store for our customers. We have a team full of talented and energetic people. Our staff, as well as our customers, keeps me motivated in my position. Being able to put a smile on people’s faces is the best feeling in the world, to me.
Interesting question. I think that I would want to be a Hasselblad 500CM Black Medium Format Camera. The reason is simply only the most patient photographers dare to use this camera. There are so many parts that you need to use this camera, but the outcome is very gratifying.
Yes, I do actually. I love to sew! I know you don’t hear a lot of people my age saying that too often. It is so relaxing and comforting at the same time. In my spare time, I make baby blankets, tote bags and pillows. Eventually, I want to make prom dresses and women’s clothing. Maybe even have my own fashion line.
